It was raining and we were terribly stoned. My friend Kate wanted us to film a telenovela in my apartment, so we started shooting exaggerating scenes of some kind of vague distress. The day before, she was talking to me about her abusive ex relationship, deflecting through humor. Watching Kate through my lens, Bob Brooker's voice from "Mulholland Drive" reverberated in my mind: "Don’t play it for real, until it gets real." And then it hit me.

My intention wasn't about achieving a specific outcome, or aesthetic perfection, it was only about sharing the collaborative process itself.

PS: This movie is for Kate, whom i wholeheartedly thank for her trust and friendship. (2023)
